Land Use/CEQA
LAND USE
KBB has extensive, hands-on familiarity with all aspects of land use development and planning law, including:
- adoption, amendment, interpretation and implementation of General Plans, specific plans, building codes, subdivision requirements, zoning codes, design regulations, public art programs, density bonus programs, façade improvements programs and cultural heritage rules; and
- review, conditional approval, denial, interpretation and implementation of entitlements such as conditional use permits, variances, site plan reviews and architectural reviews.
CEQA
KBB has substantial experience in handling environmental matters involving the California Environmental Quality Act which serves to protect the environment. KBB employs the same extensive, hands-on familiarity with all aspects of its CEQA representation by assisting its clients with the employment of the following environmental assessment measures and activities:
- adoption, amendment, interpretation and implementation of CEQA, State CEQA Guidelines, and local CEQA Guidelines; and
- preparation, review, certification, adoption, interpretation and use of initial environmental studies, environmental impact reports (including project specific, master, tiered, supplemental, subsequent, and addenda), negative declarations, categorical and statutory exemptions, statements of overriding considerations and mitigation monitoring programs.
