Mr. Martz is a Senior Associate of the firm, which he joined in 2021. He has represented government agencies and real estate companies since beginning his legal career in 2013. Before joining Kane, Ballmer & Berkman, Mr. Martz worked for the law firm of Hobson, Bernardino & Davis LLP, providing legal representation and guidance to developers, property owners, and management companies in the affordable housing industry throughout the United States.

In addition to his legal career, Mr. Martz is a Rent Stabilization Commissioner for the City of West Hollywood. The Commission hears all appeals from the city’s hearing examiner and acts as a policymaking body to ensure proper administration and enforcement of the Rent Stabilization Ordinance.

Mr. Martz is also the president and co-founder of Handle With Care, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization focused on providing emergency supplies to the unhoused community while acting as a bridge to other social services.

He is a member of the State Bar of California and is a licensed California real estate agent.
